Series: BH Cosmetics Look Three

Hello, my Pretties!

Eeeep!

I am so super excited to share this look with you.  I don't know why but I am in love with this look.  It's not too crazy and it's not extremely fabulous but let me tell you, I sure did feel amazing while wearing it.  And at the end of the day, isn't feeling good what makes you beautiful?

I wore this look to my brother-in-law's birthday day party.  It was a luau themed party, hence the bright fluorescent pink top.  But that shade of pink was so hard to match!  I wasn't going to pair the top with a twin shade of Hi-Liter pink eyeshadow (even if I had that shade of pink) because that would be overkill.  But I did incorporate pink along the lower lash line.

BH Cosmetics 120 Eyeshadow Palette 2nd Edition is amazing!  The pigmentation of the shadows are wonderful.  I think I could just use this one eyeshadow palette forever and I'd be happy.  But I won't, I love makeup too much to be faithful to one palette!

P.S.
Tomorrow is June! Well, more like in 13 minutes for me here in Texas.  Wow.  June.  It's summer, baby!!

Series: BH Cosmetics Look Two

Hello, my Pretties!

I know I took a while to post part two of my BH Cosmetics series, but here it is!

I am looking at this picture collage and I feel like I look so tan!  Haha.  I think it might be the mixture of the beachy themed eyeshadow and very nude lip.

I cannot believe that this was my first time wearing this matte turquoise eyeshadow.  It's beautiful!  Just look at how it stands out!

I used a gold toned shadow on my lid, a copper brown in the crease, a matte white as my brow high light, a yellow gold on the inner corner of my lower lash line, and that fabulous turquoise on the outer half of my lower lash line.  I even used a dark matte brown shadow to fill in my brows!

Face Ingredients:

Face:
♥Avon Ideal Flawless Matte Mousse Foundation in Tan Beige
♥E.L.F. Mineral Booster in Sheer
♥Milani Minerals Blush in Luminous

Eyes:
♥Avon Eyeshadow Primer in Medium Beige
♥BH Cosmetics 120 Eyeshadow Palette 2nd Edition
♥E.L.F. Liquid Eyeliner in Black
♥ Avon Irresistibly Sexy Mascara in Black Obsessed

Lips:
♥Wet n Wild Megalast Lipstick in 902C Bare it All

I can't stop thinking about how tan I look!  It's really making me want to hit the beach.  Haha.

Series: BH Cosmetics Look One

Hello, my Pretties!

I wear makeup often...sadly not everyday like I used to but I still play with it a couple times a week.  Since I work as a nanny, that doesn't require makeup and sometimes I have to be at work early so I don't have time to do my makeup.  Oh no, I'd rather take those makeup applying minutes and use them for sleep!

But recently my schedule at work got changed so I go in a couple of hours later now so now I do have time to apply my makeup.

Even though I go in later, I am always trying to save some time in the mornings and hate to rummage through my stash which can be very time consuming.  So...I have rediscovered my love for my BH Cosmetics 120 Eyeshadow Palettes.  I have four of them, Editions 1-4, but all this week I have been using the 2nd Edition.

With 120 eyeshadows at your fingertips, how much easier can it get?!

Face Ingredients:

Face:
♥Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer
♥Avon Ideal Flawless Matte Mousse Foundation in Natural Tan
♥E.L.F. Mineral Booster in Sheer
♥Avon True Color Blush in Classic Aura

Eyes:
♥Avon Eyeshadow Primer in Warm Beige
♥BH Cosmetics 120 Eyeshadow Palette 2nd Edition
♥Avon Glimmersticks Eyeliner in Copper
♥Almay One Coat Dial Up Mascara in Blackest Black

Lips:
♥Avon Tint 'n Go for Cheeks & Lips in Sunny

I used 6 eyeshadows to create this look.  I used a light green on my lid and a darker green shade on the outer V.  I used a medium brown in the crease but then deepened it with a brown a tad darker.  A matte white went on my brow high light and gold in the inner corner and over the light green shade.  A light blue shade was applied to the lower lash line.  The colors just blend so easily into one another.

I have another BH Cosmetics look to share with you and one other that I did that I loved but I forgot to photograph it so I will have to recreate it.  I will post these as a series because I want to see how many looks I can do with this single eyeshadow palette!

I'll be back with another look soon!

Meanwhile, check out BH Cosmetics at www.bhcosmetics.com.

FOTD: Spring in My Step

Hello, my Pretties!

I guess it was about two Christmases ago that my sweet-tart gave me the BH Cosmetics 120 Palettes Editions 1-4 as my gift.  Two years ago!  And I've only used BH 120 2nd Edition and just recently, like three weeks ago, I opened up BH 120 3rd Edition.

Here is a look I created using only the eyeshadows in the BH 120 3rd Edition Palette.  I loved this look.  I have used it several times.

FOTD INGREDIENTS:

FACE:
♥ Avon Ideal Flawless Matte Mousse Foundation in Medium Beige
♥ mark. Powder Buff Natural Skin Foundation in Medium 7
♥ Avon True Color Blush in Classic Aura

EYES:
♥ Avon Eyelid Primer in Medium
♥ BH Cosmetics 120 Eyeshadow Palette 3rd Edition
Light matte peach shade for the lids
   Metallic copper for the crease
Shimmery cream for the brow high light
Matte lime green for the lower lash line
♥ Avon Glimmersticks Eyeliner in Cosmic Brown
♥ Almay One Coat Dial Up Mascara in Blackest Black

LIPS:
♥ Avon Ultra Color Rich Lipstick in Poppy Love

And there you have it, my loves.  A super fast and easy FOTD.  I have been loving more coral and peach shades on my eyes lately.  This look would look pretty without the green but you know me, I needed that POP! and that POP! is what got me so many compliments.  Haha.

Wishing you all a super fantastic Sunday fun day!

Contest Entry: Susielicious Super Cute Look Contest

Hello, my Pretties!

A couple of days ago I decided to take a leap and enter my very first makeup contest!  Yay!  I'm excited to have entered.  I guess this is part of my New Year's resolutions--to do more with my life.  Haha.

Of course I entered with high hopes and when I submitted my entry, the other contest entries hadn't been posted.  Now that they are visible, I'm blown out of the water!  Haha.  Some of the looks are amazing!  It is a LIKES contest which means you need to go to Susielicious' page and look through the contest album and vote by clicking like on your favorite look.

This is the look that I submitted.

I totally went outside my comfort zone here in sporting some hot pink brows.  This was my first time trying the colored brow trend.  I actually liked it!  Haha.

So, if you like my entry, please visit Susielicious Page and visit her Contest!!! Ends Feb. 2013 Album.  Here you will see all 20 entries.  Give a thumbs up to your favorite look.  If you 'like' mine, THANK YOU!

Wish me luck!

P.S. My eye look was created using my BH Cosmetics 120 Eyeshadow Palette 2nd Edition.

PicTorial: Chocolate Covered Strawberries

Hello, my Pretties!

Happy Valentine's Day!  I hope your day was as sweet and as wonderful as you beauties are!  Mine was good. Had plans to go for dinner and a movie but instead we stayed in and had a delicious homemade dinner with our girls and ate cupcakes for dessert.  The sweet-tart got our girls a beautiful pink rose for each of them.  I got makeup, of course.  More on that in another post.  It's quite funny.

Today I'm going to try something different.  A PicTorial.  This is a makeup tutorial done with step by step pictures.  We'll see how it goes!

Today's ingredients.

ELF All Over Cover Stick in Honey
ELF Eyelid Primer in Sheer

I applied the All Over Cover Stick to my brow bone area and the Eyelid Primer just to my eyelids.

ELF Cream Eyeliner in Copper

I used the Cream Liner in Copper as a base.  With my fingertip, I applied it all over my lid past my crease.

BH Cosmetics 120 Colors Palette 2nd Edition

Bottom layer of the 120 palette.

On top of the Copper Cream Liner, I applied a shimmery red (H3) but it ended up looking like more of a hot pink.  To make it more red, I applied an orange (H6) over the red shadow.

In the crease, I applied a dark brown shade (I5).

And to deepen up the outer "V", I added a shimmery black shadow (A6).

Top layer of the 120 palette.

I only used one color off the first layer of the 120 palette.  It is a very pretty cream color with shimmery gold. I applied that shade to my brow bone and in my inner tear duct area and that was my highlight.

Along my lower lash line, I used the Copper Cream Liner once again.

MAC Fluidline in Blitz & Glitz

Blitz & Glitz was applied to my waterline only.  It is such a deep black and it withstands the moist area of the waterline perfectly.

mark. Get in Line Hook Up Waterproof Eyeliner in Painted Black

Maybelline the Falsies Flared Volum' Express Mascara in Black

Urban Decay Heavy Metal Glitter Eyeliner in Baked

I used Painted Black liquid eyeliner along my top lashes.  Two coats of Falsies Flared was added to both my top and bottom lashes.  And, the Baked Glitter Liner was added on top of the Copper Cream Liner on my lower lash line.

Exfoliating Facial Wipes for Sensitive Skin

I used the makeup remover wipes to clean up the edges of my eyes.  Worked perfectly at removing all fall out.

Avon Smooth Minerals Foundation in Medium Beige.
Anew Age Transforming Pressed Powder in Tan Beige.
Avon Smooth Minerals Blush in Blushed.

Full face of makeup is done.  All I need are my lips.

Avon Smooth Minerals in Rumberry
mark. Glow Baby Glow Hook Up Lip Gloss in Choco Luxe

I didn't know which color to go for.  Full on bright lips like this in Rumberry...

Or more subdued lips like this in Choco Luxe.  Not as much difference as I initially thought.  Which do you prefer?

I apologize for the hoodie.  This was just a trial run I did this morning.  And also excuse the messy hair and unplucked brows!  Yikes!

How did you all like my first PicTorial?  Too many pics??  Borning??  Let me know, please!  I know that the pics aren't very good.  I am using a new camera and have been for a while.  I miss my old one.  The old one was much older but somehow I think it took better photos.  This is supposed to be a better camera so I'm giving it the benefit of the doubt.  I'm sure it's user error!

Hope you all had a great Valentine's Day.  A day we celebrate love...love of all kinds that we share with all kinds of people.  And don't worry if you didn't have anyone to share this day with.  You don't need a date!  There is only one person that you should love more than anything and that is YOURSELF!  Treat yourself like everyday is Valentine's Day.

Much love, hugs, and kisses to all of you!

Luv & Luk,
--L.

Buy & Blog: BH Cosmetics

Hello, my Pretties!

If you follow me on Twitter, you know I have been talking about BH Cosmetics for such a long time.  I had been wanting to buy them forever and I kept asking you all for recommendations.  I knew December would be the month that I would get my BH order placed because December is my birthday and Christmas only days apart.  I was anticipating getting money so that's what I was going to buy my palettes with.  Luckily, I didn't have to pay for it.  My very generous sweet-tart picked up the tab on this one.

But I was nice enough to place my order when BH Cosmetics was having a fantastic sale.  All eyeshadow palettes were 50% off and FREE shipping with a $50.00 order.  I cannot say no to anything 50% (or more) off.

I waited for this baby for so long!

I wasn't sure what to get other than the 1st Edition 120 Palette.  I had seen that baby so many times on other blogs and on YouTube channels so I knew I just had to have that one!

But you all know me so well.  If there is more than one version of a single item available, I'm getting them all!

Aren't these palettes exquisite?  I love them all!  I swatched a few shadows the day I got them and they are so wonderfully pigmented.  I tried a red shadow out of one of these palettes on my hand and even after I washed it off, my had still had a red tint.  Crazy!

The first 3 Editions are a mix of matte and shimmer shadows.  The 4th Edition is all shimmer shadows.

I did want to swatch these for you but there are so many.  I don't know if I should just swatch my favorite/more interesting shadows in each of the palettes OR dedicate a blog post to each palette and swatch all the shadows.  I don't know.  Let me know what you all want me to do for you!

If you only want one 120 palette, then I recommend the 3rd Edition.  You get bright colors on the top layer and smoky/neutrals on the bottom layer.  You get the best of both worlds!

I placed my order on the BH website on 12/15/11 which I believe was a Thursday.  I received it Friday, 12/23/11.  And since I spent over $50.00, my order was shipped for FREE via UPS Ground (2-6 days).  It took 7 days to receive my package.  Not sure if that's their norm since it was my first time buying from them or if it was due to the holidays.  Either way, 7 days felt like forever!

All in all, my sweet-tart paid $64.92 for my birthday gift and I think it's worth every single penny.

Luv & Luk,
