I love this lip gloss!  The color is amazing.  The tiny micro glitters in it remind me of mini Christmas lights!  Haha.  This is Avon Ultra Color Rich Brilliance Lip Gloss in Bordeaux Glow.  It is fabulous and looks great on the lips!

 

Sadly, these are being discontinued.  Booo.

Avon Makeup Maven 30 Day Challenge for June: Day 28

The other day we decided to take a little trip the island to take the kids fishing off the pier.  I was excited to go see the beach and even though we live about an hour and 20 minutes away, we don't go often.

But while the sweet-tart prepared by getting bait and fishing poles, I got ready doing my nails!  Beach themed, of course.

Avon already had a Speed Dry nail polish but they amped it up to a 30 second drying time, hence the Speed Dry+ 30 Nail Enamel.  I love this color!  Turquoise Pop is the perfect shade of turquoise.  The fact that it dries in 30 seconds is a major + !

I must admit that I rarely use lip liners.  I don't know why, I just don't.  I have only a handful of lip liners.  But this one is a good one.  This is the Avon Glimmersticks Lip Liner in Mystery Mauve.

Avon Makeup Maven 30 Day Challenge for June: Day 26

Hello, my Pretties!

Today I have something super exciting to share with you.  It is a brand new mascara that Avon will be debuting really soon.  It's a totally different kind of mascara wand, the only one of it's kind!

Isn't this the most interesting mascara wand you have ever seen?  I was shocked when I saw it!  It's a totally new revolutionary way of applying mascara.  The packaging is so different too.  It's almost flat and not at all tube like.  Love the different style of packaging.

I will admit that application was foreign to me.  Haha.  The tip of the mascara wand, the part with the bristles, will bend for more precise application.  It still takes time to get the hang of the new technique.  I applied only one coat because the formula is very wet.  You can see it made my lashes longer but not really thicker.  I tried applying more but then I started to clump my lashes together.  I've only used it a couple of times so I need to work more with it and get the hang of it.  But this was a nice natural look for me.

As I mentioned before, this is not for sale yet.  But it's coming!  So stay tuned for it's release!

Avon Makeup Maven 30 Day Challenge for June: Day 24

Slowly but surely, I'm getting in all 30 days for you all.  Very, very slowly.

Here is the Avon Glimmersticks Cosmic Eye Liner in Blackened Night.  In the brochure, this color looked black with heavy glitter throughout.  As you can see from the heart shaped swatch, there are glitter reflects in there.  But when it is applied to the eye, I think the glitter gets somewhat lost.  Even though you can see some glitter along my lower lash line in the bottom full eye photo, it's really not that noticeable.

The staying power is great.  The application is easy and smooth.  The Glimmersticks line is one of my favorites since they are self sharpening.  But I just wish the glitter was more apparent.  This way, it looks like any other eye liner.
