Almay Intense I-Color Trio for Hazels

At the end of last month, I won a giveaway hosted by Nicole V. of NV Beauty and I was so thrilled!! I don't have much luck when it comes to giveaways so this was so unexpected.

I blogged about this prize I won, already, which you can check out HERE. Nicole included much more than just the eyeshadow trio I was hoping for. So go take a peek and see.

This post is to focus on the main prize, the reason why I entered the giveaway in the first place. Nicole was giving away an Almay eyeshadow trio. I've never tried Almay before and the swatches that she showed off were so pretty.

Obviously, I don't have hazel eyes but I loved these shadows. I believe that anyone with any eye color can wear any eyeshadow they want.

These colors are so pretty. I loved them all but my most favorite is the bottom shade, the steel gray shade. It is such a pretty shimmery taupe color. I loved it. I think it will look very nice all on its own for days that I don't feel like doing a full face of makeup.

All three shadows are shimmery and very soft. They apply very easily due to their great pigmentation. Blending these shadows was not a problem at all.

P.O. Box Talk

Happy August, my dears. I cannot believe that I only did one post in the whole month of July. Whoa! But as you all know, I was in the process of moving. But  now, moving is officially over and done with. Keys to the old place were turned in this morning. Tear... tear...

And I'm sure you all know that we moved in with my sweet-tart's grandma, G.G., for now. Our plan is to save money until we can buy our own house. We will see how that goes. Yikes! Wish us luck.

Any how, a few weeks ago, I entered Nicole V.'s giveaway for an Almay eyeshadow trio. I've never tried Almay before so I went for it. And I won! Woo hoo!! I was so excited when I saw that tweet where she announced me as the winner. Totally made my day. My week!

On the 24th, Nicole notified me that she had sent out my package. I finally made a trip to the post office and checked my P.O. Box on the 29th and there was my much bigger than anticipated package! I thought I had just won an eyeshadow trio!

Of course, as soon as I made it home, I ripped open the package and was thrilled to see more goodies than just the trio. I was ecstatic to win the trio but extra stuff is always fun!

So, I grabbed my phone and started tweeting Nicole and thanking her. This package was so unexpected and I appreciate that she went out and bought me some Jordana products because I wanted to try them but never went out and got them myself. Not even when she told me that they were on sale at K-Mart. That says a lot about the kind of person that she is. Wow, I'm impressed with her sweetness.

I am in love with all this stuff! I cannot wait to try the Jordana shadow duos. Very pretty colors. And I already used the Jordana and Sally Hansen nail polishes together. I used them this past Saturday for a day at the beach. The colors went so well together. Perfect beach theme--the colors of the sea and the sand. Nice. I will show you pictures later. I forgot to take the pics that day so I will have to do it again.

Well, my Pretties, how was my first blog post back? I feel like a fish out of water. I missed blogging and I will try and post more often again. At least once a week. It is very hard to dedicate all my time to blogging like I used to when I am not in my own home. I am also embarrassed to be taking pics when G.G. might see me. LOL. Oh well, where there's a will, there's a way.

My Very First Giveaway! **CLOSED**

On April 30th I reached 50 subbies on my blog! Thank you, thank you all who follow me!! I appreciate every single one of you.

Like most bloggers, I didn't expect anyone to read, nevertheless, follow my blog. It was something I decided to do as my New Year's resolution. I had always wanted to have a beauty blog like the ones I had seen and I made myself do it. No more being scared to do what I want to do.
