PROJECT 5 PAN

Today is the first of February. Perfect time to start something new. And that something new is a makeup diet! I have so much makeup, as most of you do, and I have decided that I need to put a TEMPORARY end to my manic makeup buying. This past January alone, I made so many makeup shopping trips. It was fun but unnecessary. The best thing to do at this point is to shop my stash and use what I have. I have so many items that are still unopened. Some of it is still in the bags that I brought them home in! I'm a hoarder. It's horrible.

This morning, I got up and I chose 5 items that I am including in the Pro 5 Pan. I have chosen 1 mineral foundation, 1 blush, 1 eye shadow, 1 eye liner, and 1 lip gloss. All of these items together give me a very simple and natural look. Which I did on purpose so that I can use these on an almost daily basis. Cheating?

Of course, I saw this on YouTube. I believe it was Andrea's Choice who started it all. And everyone who attempts this, changes the number of items. So sometimes it's Project 10 Pan, Project 15 Pan...I think right now I can only handle a Project 5 Pan. Baby steps.

As for the rules, those also are flexible. Some beauties choose to allow themselves one makeup purchase a month. Sounds good. But for myself, I have chosen not to buy anything at all until I finish all 5 items. And I do mean FINISH. I won't be done just by hitting pan. It all needs to be gone. It's going to take forever with the eye shadow because it's hardly used. And it will be a little hard to with the lip gloss because of the contailer. But all product must be gone! I cannot believe I just said that! Ahhhh!!

Why did I choose to deprive myself of a small monthly token? I feel like I really don't need any more makeup at all! I feel the need to keep buying and buying and there really is no need for it. I feel devastated when I can't buy something. Either I don't have the money for it at the time or I can't find it. Example: WnW 8 Pan Palettes. Where are you?? Anyway, I just need to prove to myself that I will not die if I do not buy!!

And for those of you who don't know, I sell Avon and mark. I always buy myself goodies when I submit my orders which is every other week. This week, on Thursday, I have an order due. And I am not going to buy anything!! Do you know how hard that is?? I get to buy things before they come out for the general public at a 40% discount! Come on, I can't believe I'm not going to buy anything. I just have to keep telling myself, I WILL NOT DIE IF I DO NOT BUY!

But in all seriousness, I do have too much makeup. I don't want it to go to waste. Makeup does expire. And if I keep buying without using up all I already have, in the end it will be money in the trash. It will not matter how much money I saved if it is all going to waste. Simple as that.

OK, so I guess I will be posting more FOTDs and reviews. I do have some hauls that I still need to post up that I got in January. Well, let me show you what will be included in my PROJECT 5 PAN.

Avon Perfect Wear Extralasting Lip Gloss in Perpetual Pink

Avon Color Trend Eye Liner in Dark Brown

Avon Sun Singles Eye Shadow in Mocha Blast

Swatches
Eye shadow, eye liner, lip gloss, makeup powder, blush.

Wearing all this makeup at once gives me a
simple, natural, everyday look.

I know that the mineral makeup powder and the blush are running on empty but I have been using these for about a year now. I know that is horrible! Don't judge :) This mineral makeup stuff seems to last forever. I just want to finish these ASAP. I have other foundations and blushes that I use and that's why I haven't been able to finish these. But now I will try.

I plan on doing an update post every time I finish one of these products. I hope it doesn't take too long. I'm already sad thinking of all the stuff I won't be able to buy.

I swear makeup is my drug. I am so super addicted and I need to detox!

Wish me luck, My Pretties!

Luv & Luk,
--L.

  5. @Sarai, yes, girlie, I pride myself on buying makeup on sale and saving money but at the end of the day, it's wasted money if I don't use the product! It's crazy, really :)
