URBAN DECAY LOOSE SHADOW PIGMENTS: SWATCHES

I know, I know, I know I promised these swatches ages ago and I'm so sorry I'm late. But here they are!!

As you know, I got these off of HauteLook.com when they were on sale for $2.00 a piece. How could I say no? So, I didn't. I got one of each color that was still available. I only need 3 more pigments to complete the collection. And while I did love all the colors and finishes and lasting power, I don't see myself buying the last 3 pigments for the regular price of $20.00. I pride myself on being a FRUGALISTA so, no I will not be buying Baked, X, or Yeyo anytime soon unless I can find them on sale again!

You can purchase these on the Urban Decay website at http://www.urbandecay.com/ for $20.00 each.

And here are the pigments I was able to buy:

Top row: Shattered, Goddess, Shag, Graffiti, and Gunmetal
Bottom row: Smog, Protest, Asphyxia, and Rockstar

Shattered, Goddess, Smog, Shag, and Graffiti

Protest, Asphyxia, Rockstar, and Gunmetal

Shattered, Goddess, Smog, Shag, and Graffiti
Swatches applied to forearm without base, primer, or concealer underneath.
With flash.

As per the Urban Decay website, these are the color descriptions:
Shattered: "bright green/blue"
Goddess: "midnight blue w/ electric blue micro glitter"
Smog: "medium brown"
Shag: "pale bronze"
Graffiti: "bright green"

Protest, Asphyxia, Rockstar, and Gunmetal
Swatches applied to forearm without base, primer, or concealer underneath.
With flash.

As per the Urban Decay website, these are the color descriptions:
Protest: "dark green in charcoal base w/ iridescent"
Asphyxia: "bright pink w/ purple shift"
Rockstar: "dark purple in black base w/ silver purple mirco glitter"
Gunmetal: "gray in charcoal base w/ iridescent micro glitter"

If you visit the website, you will see that some products have a purple paw print next to it. This purple paw print is what they call MARLEY APPROVED. To be MARLEY APPROVED means (as per the UD website) "Urban Decay certifies that this is a vegan product, and does not contain any animal-derived ingredients". So, that's nice!

MARLEY APPROVED pigments are:
Graffiti, Smog, Gunmetal, Goddess, Shattered, Rockstar, Shag, Protest, (and 2 that I do not have yet) Baked and Yeyo.

I am happy with these pigments. Love the color payoff, super pigmented, and great lasting power. But, boy are they messy! Just something to keep in mind.

I do hope this was helpful. Or if anything, slightly entertaining!

Luv & Luk,
--L.

P.S. I did a FOTD using Shattered, Shag, and Goddess.

  6. @Cathy, I hear ya! I have so many things that I have bought recently and haven't blogged about it yet. I wanted to but never decided if I should because so many other blogs have the same posts going on, you know. Maybe I should, though :)
