1/7/11 FOTD: NYMPH DREAMS

Originally this post was supposed to be up yesterday. But as always, the day seem to get away from me. So, I apologize for not being on time but I still thought I'd share this with you. I took the pictures yesterday with the intention of writing up a post later on in the day. So, yeah, that didn't happen. But why waste some good pictures, right.

Like I was saying, yesterday I felt like wearing color on my eyes. Something a little brighter than I have been sporting lately. One of my favorite color combos is the E.L.F. Brightening Eye Color Quad in Nymph Dreams. I love turquoise and brown together. Ok, so brown isn't a bright color but the turquoise is. I love these colors in the palette but I wasn't so sure of it anymore once I saw them on me.

Here's what I'm talking about:

I used all four colors in the quad...

but to me, all i see is green...

Turquoise on the inner eye & the brown shade on the outter.
It looks a little muddy.
Colors are not as defined as I was aiming for.

I wanted to be able to see the green & brown. Sadly, it all just
blended together too much.

Avon Healthy Makeup Lipstick in Naturally Perfect.
My go to color--LOVE IT!

Today's (actually, yesterday's) face ingredients.

FACE:
  • Avon Personal Match Smooth Mineral Makeup Powder (Bisque)
  • Mark Just Pinched Instant Blush Tint (Berry)
EYES:
  • E.L.F. Eyelid Primer (Sheer)
  • E.L.F. Brightening Eye Color (Nymph Dreams)
  • Mark No Place to Run Eyeliner (Jet Set)
  • Dior Diorshow Mascara (Black)
LIPS:
  • Avon Healthy Makeup Lipstick (Naturally Perfect)

**SIDE NOTE**
Oh my gosh, I was just noticing that I wear very little makeup. Just the basics I guess. Huh. I guess I tend to keep it more simple than most. I usually don't have a lot of time to get my face on. I think its an average of 15 minutes or less.

I don't know. What do you dolls think? I like the turquoise shade but I was hoping for a more defined look. I guess I over blended?? Oh well, this one might be a fail on my part. I won't banish this quad to the back of my stash, I'll just try and work with it some more--try out some new looks. Still pretty colors, though.

Okie dokie, just wanted to share that with you and see what you all think of it. Let me know. Give me your ideas on how I could have made this one a success!

And by the way, I have a couple of these Avon Healthy Makeup Lipsticks (somewhat new to the Avon line) and I really love them. I might do a review on these for you. Would you like that? Yay or Nay??

Alright, MY PRETTIES, that's all I have for you today.

Thanks for stopping by!

Luv & Luk,
--L.
