Buy and Blog: Avon SuperShock Liquid Lip Shine

Hello, my Pretties!

While cleaning out my makeup bag, I ran into these lip glosses that I have been using religiously and realized that I hadn't blogged about these yet.  Let me share with you my favorite lip glosses of the moment.

Avon SuperShock Liquid Lip Shine
SPF 15

Left to Right:
Popsicle, Melon Madness, and Tickled Pink.

Tube size and applicator size in comparison to
Avon's Glazewears. HUGE difference!

These are my most favorite lip glosses at the moment!  They are so moisturizing.  The feel smooth on my lips.  They are not sticky at all.  I think they even smell good.  They have a light sweet, fruity smell.  When the gloss wears off, you are left behind with a tint of color.  Almost like a stain.  Lovely.

I am not sure if they are being offered through Avon's website.  I purchased these from their Outlet book for $2.99 a piece.  The Avon Outlet book is for showcasing items that are being discontinued.  Now I only wish I had picked up some more.  If I ever see these again, I will get more for sure.  Love them!

♥♥ I am an Independent Avon Representative.  I purchased these with my own money.  These are my own thoughts and honest opinions. ♥♥

Purple Eye Diamond Contest Winner!

Hello, my Pretties!

Recently I won a contest hosted by my beauty buddy, Avi, over on her Instagram profile.  The contest was simple.  All that needed to be done was submit a photo on Instagram showing off any purple makeup related item.  You could enter more than once as long as each photo was different.

I entered a few times and this one was my first and WINNING entry.

I took a photo on my Making Faces book by Kevyn Aucoin showcasing most of my purple tinted makeup.  I love purple makeup.  Especially eyeshadows!

And here is my PRIZE!

M•A•C Casual Colour
Lip & Cheek Colour

Evening Stroll

Ingredients.

Swatch.

Swatched on lips.

Of course, my main reason for entering her contest was to win a M•A•C item.  I don't have much M•A•C at all.  I'm excited that this could be used as a lip tint or a blusher.  Love multi-tasking products!

I'm thrilled that I won and I'm thrilled with my prize.  I love it.  Thank you, thank you, Avi, for hosting this contest.  It was fun!

Sugar Sweet Cosmetics: UPDATE

Hello, my Pretties!

I have some news to share with you!

I got an email from Jordan who is the owner of Sugar Sweet Cosmetics and the lovely lady who hand picked me as a promoter for her company.  She sent me an email to notify me of a couple changes.

First of all, new products are on their way!  I should be receiving my promoter package by the end of the week so that is wonderful news for me and you since I will be able to share with you the new eyeshadows that will be hitting the website very soon.

These new items to be added to the site also have new ingredients to make them more Vegan!  That is also great news.  For a product to be called Vegan, it must abstain from using animal products so for those of us who are animal lovers, when a makeup company has Vegan products available, that is like having your cake and eating it too.

And now probably for the biggest news, Sugar Sweet Cosmetics is going from this...

to this...

That's right.  Sugar Sweet Cosmetics is officially changing their name to Sweet Darling Cosmetics!  Here is their new logo.

Jordan stated the reasoning behind changing the name was that she wanted something that was a part of her style and a part of her daughter--something that was unique and that she could have forever.  Sugar Sweet was too reminiscent of Sugarpill!

And with new products, new ingredients, new packaging, new name, and new logo also comes a new Facebook Fan Page.  Head on over to Sweet Darling Cosmetics on Facebook and hit the LIKE button.  Pretty please and thank you!!

That is all I have for you today, my dolls.  I read the email and I just had to share it with you.  I cannot wait to receive my first promoter package and swatch the new goodies for you.  Stay tuned for that post coming soon!

Makeup Time Machine: 2010

Hello, my Pretties!

The other day that we were in Corpus on our mini "vacay", I was bored in the hotel room and was browsing through old photos on my netbook when I found a handful of old makeup pics.  These are dated 2010.

In late 2010, was when my obsession with YouTube makeup tutorials and reading beauty blogs started.  I had always been a fan of makeup but around this time, my addiction was kicked into high gear.  I started taking pics of my makeup around October of that year.  I had every intention of starting a blog on January 1, 2011.

And I did keep my New Year's Resolution for that year.  Starting a blog was the only resolution that I have ever kept in my life!

I thought it would be fun to take a trip down makeup memory lane in my time machine and visit my first attempts at blogging.  Don't laugh...well, not too hard!

Haha :)

Oh well, I wasn't the greatest but not too too bad, I suppose.  My taste in eyeshadows has become more bold.  I was using a lot of colors back then but now I use some really bright shadows sometimes.  I couldn't help but notice how much younger I looked 2 years ago.  Haha.  Oh well, I'm older but wiser.  I hope!

I hope that you enjoyed this post.  Nothing really to brag about but I think it's pretty cool to see where it all started and how my taste and techniques have improved.  I still have a long way to go but I've come a long way too.
