Two Months, Three Days

Hello, my Pretties!

I cannot believe that it has been 2 months and 3 days since the last time I wrote in my blog!  That is unacceptable!  Mainly because I don't really have a good enough reason as to why I stopped blogging in the first place.  Bummer.

In case you are wondering, no much has been going on, actually.  My girls just started school this past August.  Even my baby!  My 3 year old is in pre school now, full time, and my oldest started the 3rd grade.  At the moment, I am still a stay at home mom even though there isn't any children at home from the hours of 7:30 am - 3:30 pm.  For the last two weeks I've sort of been bumming around.  I FINALLY get to watch TV, mind you TV that isn't Disney.  I take a short nap on some days.  I have a peaceful breakfast.  I still do my household chores, of course, and sometimes, I make time (or rather, muster up the energy) to workout.

Working out was a huge thing for me this summer.  I actually started back in March 2013 on my new healthy lifestyle and managed to drop 30 pounds.  I was running 4 miles a day in July and bumped it up to 6 miles a day in August.  But then school started and my mornings have been hectic getting the girls ready and making breakfast then dropping them off and by the time all that is said and done, it's too darn hot to go out running.  I live in Texas, remember.  It's always summer here.

Little by little I have gained some of my weight back and I've been trying to get back into the swing of things.  I need to drop another 30 pounds to be where I want to be.  It took me 6 months to lose the first 30 so I'm giving myself another 6 months to lose the last 30.  But to be honest, I think if I can drop another 20 pounds, I'd be pretty happy.  You can follow my progress on Instagram (msprettyfulgirl) because I post a lot of my fitness tid bits there.

Oh!  And a major thing is that I'm looking for a job now.  You know, since my kids are in school, I might as well go back to work.  I haven't worked in nearly 4 years.  My last day of work was back in September 2009 since I quit so that I could prepare for the birth of my daughter who was due in October.  I'm so rusty and I'm scared to go back to work but I did apply with a clothing store chain that I used to work for before.  I got an interview and aced that.  Now tomorrow I have my second interview, this time with the district manager, and hopefully I will get hired.  OMG, TOMORROW!  Eeep!  I'm so terrified!

I've seriously been thinking about starting up my YouTube channel again.  Not sure though.  I have so many social media accounts that I never keep up with them all.  Haha.  I love YouTube and I wanted to be the next big thing, (haha, very funny, right?) but I just can't compete or compare to the girls out there making awesome videos!  Oh well, we shall see if I get the courage to start up again.  If I do, I'll need your help.  What would you like to see?  What kind of things interest you?  What would make you watch my channel?

Oh gosh, well, that's all for now.  I have missed my blog with the fire of a thousand suns.  I hope I can bring it back from the dead...

 

Update: Project 5 Pan

Oh, my goodness, I totally forgot to update you on my venture into Project 5 Pan. I guess subconsciously I was trying to avoid talking about it...

I started my Project 5 Pan on February 1, 2011. I picked out 5 items that I've had for a really, really long time and just wanted to finish them already. The rules I had set up for myself were plain and simple. I could not buy a single makeup item until all 5 items I chose were finished. Completely. Not just "hit pan" but to where it was all pan. I knew that would be hard but I had to do something because I have way, way, way too much makeup.

Trying to be smart, I chose 5 makeup items that I could use all at once to try and finish them faster. Did it work? Well, yes and no. I chose a powder foundation, blush, eyeshadow, eyeliner, and a lip gloss. All neutral colors for an everyday wearable look.

It was working out fine. I finished one item, my powder foundation. But, on March 17, 2011, I ended my Project 5 Pan by placing an order for some mark. makeup. So...yup. I did 44 days of not buying makeup. That is the longest I have ever gone without buying makeup so I see that as a win! 44 days may not be a lot but 44 days of not buying makeup to a makeup addict is hell. Torture.

I do feel sad that I didn't accomplish what I set out to do. But like I said, I feel like 44 days is a small accomplishment all on its own. I came really close to finishing the blush and the lip gloss too. So, I'm still using up those products. I will finish them. Someday.

So, now I'm back to buying makeup once again. Alas, I feel like I can breathe! It's been fun picking up an eye shadow here and there. Now I will have more things to blog about. I hope. I did buy a lot of makeup before P5P that I was going to blog about while on the ban so I had some hauls to show. I didn't get to haul them all but I will post them soon as well as show some of the more recent items I have purchased.

If you are doing a Project (insert number here) Pan, keep at it! You can do it! Maybe I was weak in the end, but you can succeed. And if you don't, it's OK too. No need to feel failure. I do intend to try it again, for sure.

M.I.A. UPDATE

Hello, My Pretties!

I'm so sorry I've been missing in action lately. For those of you who follow me on Twitter, you might have seen my tweet where I said that I lost all my pictures I had stored in my flash drive. ALL THE PICTURES were destroyed. I had taken pictures for up coming blog posts so that I could easily write and then publish. And it's all gone! Booooo....

So, yes, I have to start brand new. My sweetheart is still working on recovering the pics but I don't think it's going to happen. Oh well. Too bad, so sad. It still stings though because taking decent pics is hard work. I don't usually have a lot of time to work on my blog and so one day when my baby was napping, I took advantage and did a huge "photo shoot" for all the posts planned for the next couple of weeks. I cropped them, watermarked them and none of that matters now. Once again, booooo....

Well, sorry about that little hiccup in my blog. But here's a taste of what I'm working on right now. I have 3 hauls to share with you. Two Avon hauls and one CVS haul. I hope to have them up real soon.
